Rendezvous Class

Yesterdays class went very well. The rendezvous had about 80 in attendance, and about 35 came to our class. Other events were going on at the same time.Suzanne cooked a stew, Paul two cobblers and I did a pot of beans. No good Mountain Man goes without his beans.  After class 10 or 12 camps cooked in there Dutch ovens, for the evening meal. Some came to our kitchen, to have us help them with there dish. About 5 lodges (Tipis) were up and many wall tents.  Black powder gun shots going off every few minutes. It was a beautiful day.

  3. I used to work with a gal whose grandmother was full blooded Cherokee, and lived in a tipi she set up behind their house back in Oklahoma. She would go in a house, but refused to move into one, preferring her tipi. Really cool.
