Pear Country Chicken

Well! I do live in pear country, I should give you my pear country chicken recipe.

2 large pears cored, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 teaspoon curry powder
2 cups apple juice
1/2 pound mushroom, sliced
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon crystals
3 1/2 pounds skinless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Place a 12" dutch oven over about 20 charcoals. Add curry to a hot, very dry oven. Stir until slightly darkened, about 4 minutes. Add pears, onion, 1 1/2 cups apple juice, lemon juice, mushrooms, and bouillon crystals; bring to a boil. Add chicken ; cover and simmer until meat is no longer pink. about 30 minutes.
With a slotted spoon, transfer chicken to a plate and keep worm with a foil tent. Blind remaining juice and flour. Add to the oven and stir until reduced to 2/3 rd the volume. Pour this over the chicken and garnish with green onions. Serve.

P. S. or is it a P.P. ( Post Post. ) What ever. We may be having a D.O.G. here soon. January 10 was the last I heard. More info as soon as I get if. We are planing it to be an evening gathering, so me can have a big camp fire with it.
