2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon grated onion
1 cup cooked ham, chopped
1 can (8 3/4 oz. ) cream style corn
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Stir together dry ingredients. Beat egg yolks with milk; stir into dry ingredients until moistened. Add onion, ham, and corn. Fold in egg whites. Heat oil in a 10" or 12" deep oven to 375 f. Drop tablespoons full of batter into hot oil. Fry 4 to 6 minutes. Fritters will be quits browm. Remove from i\oil; drain on rack over paper towels.

I much prefer Crisco Shortening over all other oils when I am looking for a crisp, golden brown.
