6 firm Bartlett pears
Fresh ground nutmeg
6 tablespoons brown sugar, light or dark
1 tablespoon cinnamon
6 butter cookies, crumbled
1/2 cup pecan pieces

12 pecan halves
Preheat a 12" Dutch Oven with 8 charcoals on the bottom, and 16 on the top and 2 tablespoons of butter in it. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, crumbled cookies, and pecan pieces. Cut pears in half from top to bottom, and remove core, seeds, and stem. Sprinkle wit ground nutmeg onto each pear half. Stuff each pear half with the brown sugar mixture. Place each pear half cut side up in preheated oven. Dot with butter and place a pecan half on each. Cover with hot lid. Cook until hot, about 20 to 30 minutes Serve hot with Vanilla ice cream.
