Hello All!
I hope all is going well with everyone! The Rogue Dutch oven Cookers has two events coming up in the near future we'd like to see everyone attend. The first is a Winter DOG at the Butte Creek Mill in Eagle Point, OR on January 10, 2011. We are all aware that this is a weekday but, Dave and Ron both work the weekends and cant get those days off since recent work promotions. The DOG will begin at around 4 pm and we will serve the meal at about 630pm. Dave will be there a little early to set up the fire pit and camp fire to keep everyone warm! If you have questions pease feel free to email dave personally at the above email address or reply here to the chapters email.
Next, is a new Dutch oven cook-off set for May 5, 2011 beginning at 8am for set up and 9 am for the cooks meeting. The cook off is hosted by the chapter along with the High Desert Packers Chapter of Backcountry Horseman's Assn. Packing Clinic. This competition along with demos and classes will be held at the Klamath Fairgrounds on 6th St. in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The packing clinic is May 4-6. Camping is available nearby and there are a few hotels offering packing clinic participants discounted rates. The cook off is FREE! when you arive after registering before MArch 15 each team will receive 2 cook off aprons and the winners will go to the WCC. 2012 More details to come soon!
