Up Date, and a Recipe

I am having good days and hard days. The hard ones are after Physical Therapy. The Therapist is tryin to make my leg go strate and bend to 110d , Not been done in 6 years, but we will get there.

1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Lr. egg
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon onion flakes
8 dashes Tabasco sauce
vegetable shortening for deep frying

In a medium bowl; combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, onion flakes, and salt. Mix well with a whisk. Add milk, egg, and Tabasco sauce. Stir until mixed. Heat oil in a 10" or 12" DEEP oven to 365 f. Drop 1 tablespoon of batter at a time, into hot oil. Do not over crowd. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown, and turn over. Cook the same on that side. Drain on a paper towel. Serve hot. May be served with different sauces.

Hope to get bake to work in 4 weeks. We will see. Thank you to all. R.C. The Outlaw Gourmet.
